ZAID IBRAHIM MUST COME OUT WITH EVIDENCE WITHIN 7 DAYS, OR RISK PKR'S CREDIBILITY
I refer to Zaid Ibrahim’s statement today that he intends to launch his campaign “Get to know your leaders” and expose the alleged hypocrisy in Barisan Nasional leaders and ministers.
It is unfortunate that Zaid Ibrahim would resort to such action after the loss of the election at Hulu Selangor parliamentary seat. It would be better if he would spend his time to serve Malaysians at the Hulu Selangor constituency more constructively and get to know them matter.
On fair principles, Zaid Ibrahim must name and provide evidence of his allegation of hypocrisy in Barisan Nasional leaders and ministers without any delay.
His proposed campaign would unfairly smear the names of all Barisan Nasional leaders and ministers indefinitely. To this date, there is no concrete evidence provided by him on all his allegations hurled at Barisan Nasional leaders and ministers.
As such, I would pose a challenge to Zaid Ibrahim to provide the name and evidence of the allegation of hypocrisy against Barisan Nasional leaders and minister within seven (7) days from today.
The seven (7) days are meant to give Zaid Ibrahim a benefit of doubt.
Failing to do so, it is only fair for Malaysian to assume that the allegation by Zaid Ibrahim is unfounded and risk PKR’s credibility.
This would then mark the repeated trend of PKR leaders’ making unfounded allegations and statements, including Anwar Ibrahim’s previous takeover plan of Parliament in 16 September, 2008.
Such political tactics are unhealthy for our country’s development.
